Bekal fort is a famous tourist spot in North Kerala. It is the biggest fort in the State, spreading over forty acres and is more than 300 years old. It is believed to have been built in the 1650's by Sivappa Naik of the Ikkeri dynasty. Arabian sea in the background.

I love flowers. This photo is taken from my garden. Hibiscus flowers are used in temple rituals like poojas and its leaves for making 'thaali', a kind of traditional hair cleaner and shampoo.

I was scared of snakes. But a visit to this snake park changed all that. The demonstator was so good that he made me touch one of those snakes. This park is situted in Parasinikkadavu, a temple town of Kannur, Kerala. They have many other animals and birds in the park apart from these snakes.
