Bekal fort is a famous tourist spot in North Kerala. It is the biggest fort in the State, spreading over forty acres and is more than 300 years old. It is believed to have been built in the 1650's by Sivappa Naik of the Ikkeri dynasty. Arabian sea in the background.

Onam is the State festival of Kerala. A pleasant time to visit the state too. During the ten days of Onam you can see flower arrangements like this on the courtyard of almost all the houses in Kerala. A time for joy and celebrations
This was shot in Bandipur Reserve forest area in Karnataka State. If you look carefully you can spot a few deers in the background. They ran away when I tried to get closer.

Theyyam festivals of the Malabar region of Kerala, is a treat to watch. Payyambalam beach at dusk. This beach in Kannur district of Kerala is one of the most beautiful beaches in the state. A lot of tourism development activities like building a marine drive, parks and hotels are going on at the moment. Really a must see place for all visitors to the town.
I love flowers. This photo is taken from my garden. Hibiscus flowers are used in temple rituals like poojas and its leaves for making 'thaali', a kind of traditional hair cleaner and shampoo.
I was scared of snakes. But a visit to this snake park changed all that. The demonstator was so good that he made me touch one of those snakes. This park is situted in Parasinikkadavu, a temple town of Kannur, Kerala. They have many other animals and birds in the park apart from these snakes.
